NEA Big Read Author Talk with Andrew Krivak

NEA Big Read Author Talk with Andrew Krivak Online

In celebration of the 2024 NEA Big Read, the Leon County Public Library invites you to a virtual reading and discussion with Andrew Krivak, author of The Bear. Krivak will discuss the genesis of his novel and explore themes and passages relating to the beauty of our natural environment and the struggle between humanity and nature. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions as part of our follow-up discussion moderated by Chris Coutts, Professor and Chair of the Department of Urban & Regional Planning at Florida State University.

Andrew Krivak’s novel The Bear is a Banff Mountain Book Competition winner, Massachusetts Book Award winner, and LibraryReads selection.

Free print copies of The Bear are available throughout March 2024 at all Leon County Public Library locations while supplies last. Audiobook and ebook copies of The Bear are available through the Libby app using your library card.
