Florida Talks: "Hurricane!" with Eliot Kleinberg

Florida Talks: "Hurricane!" with Eliot Kleinberg

Study major events in Florida history, and there’s a good chance a hurricane was involved. Presented by Eliot Kleinberg, learn how these amazing but devastating weather machines work and how they have affected Florida, with a special focus on the great 1928 storm, the subject of Eliot’s award-winning book Black Cloud: The Deadly Hurricane of 1928.

About the Presenter

Eliot Kleinberg spent more than four decades as a reporter, including more than 33 years at The Palm Beach Post. In addition to covering local news, he wrote extensively about Florida and its history. He produced two history columns and more than a dozen books about the state. He also runs a blog on bad writing and how to fix it called Something Went Horribly Wrong.
